Thomas Elmore 
Thomas was born on March 5th, 1758 in Prince Edward Co., VA.1 Thomas' father was Archelas Elmore and his mother was Susannah Morris. His paternal grandparents were Thomas III Elmore and Cecily Ellyson; his maternal grandparents were John Morris and Patience Davis. He had a brother and four sisters, named John Archer, Ann, Judith, Martha and Elizabeth. He had three half-brothers named Jason, John and Ruben. He died at the age of 69 on July 1st, 1827 in Green Co., KY.1 General Notes

He served as a Matross in Col. Charles Harrison's Virginia and Maryland
Regiment of Artillery in the Revolutionary War. He enlisted on January
7,1777 for three years, but was not mustered out until April 1782. He was
at Valley Forge. He and his family moved from Amelia County, VA to Green
County, KY before 1810.
