Sarah Jane Durell 
Sarah Jane was born on October 10th, 1849 in Montgomery Co., AL.1 Sarah Jane's father was John Durell and her mother was Dorcas Spradley. Her maternal grandparents were Bryant A. Spradley and Frances Payne. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Bryant Hicks, John Milton, William, Mary Francis and Rhonda Martha. She was the second youngest of the six children. She died at the age of 72 on May 27th, 1922 in Van Zandt Co., TX. She was buried in Old Bethel, Van Zandt, TX.1 1 General Notes
