John Alford Vinson

John Alford was born on November 29th, 1848 in Sauerville, , AL.¹   John Alford's father was Elijah Milton Vinson and his mother was Dorcas J. Barkley.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 42 on November 6th, 1891 in TX.  He was buried in Old Bethel E12, Canton, Van Zandt, TX.^1 1 

‌John Alford and Sarah Jane were married in a religious ceremony on December 3rd, 1869 in Crenshaw Co., AL.¹   They had two sons named Carl T. and Bryant.
