Benjamin Carson was born on April 29th, 1907 in AL.1 Benjamin Carson's father was Green R. Benjamin Duke and his mother was Tullelah Belle Murphy. His paternal grandparents were William Jefferson Duke and Seana J. Teel; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Alexander Murphy and Tullelah Belle Adams. He had six brothers and a sister, named William Cledus, Johnny Clifton, Joseph Addis, Woodrow Earl, Namon Carl, Julius Harper and Cenie Belle. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 83 on September 6th, 1990 in AL. He was buried in Poplar Springs Baptist Church, Chilton Co., AL.1 1 -
