Mable Quovatis was born on March 21st, 1900 in Lafayette Co., MS.1 Mable Quovatis' father was John Winter Barnett Deckard and her mother was Lillie Moss Bumgardner. Her maternal grandparents were George Bradford Bumgardner and Genevia Montrey Harding. She had three brothers and a sister, named Carl Nunery, Earl Howard, Ferdinand N. and Montrie Zila. She was the oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 80 on December 7th, 1980 in Memphis, Shelby Co., TN. She was buried in Yocona Cemetery, Lafayette Co., MS.1 1 General Notes
