Bishop Cyrus was born on September 7th, 1886 in Horry Co., SC.¹ Bishop Cyrus' father was Cyrus B. Dawsey and his mother was Margaret Anne Jenerette. His maternal grandparents were Samuel Thomas Jenerette and Eliza Johnson. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Jesse H., Albert, Ellis, Harley, Watus, Wilson, Agnes and Freddie. He died at the age of 89 in March 1976 in ?.¹
