Johnathan C. COE

Johnathan C. was born on February 29th, 1824 in Concord Township, Ross Co., Ohio.¹   Johnathan C.'s father was Hezekiah COE and his mother was Barbara NEAR.  His paternal grandparents were Elijah COE and Ann SMALLWOOD; his maternal grandparents were PHILIP NEER and ELIZABETH (Mary) POTTS. He had three brothers and three sisters, named John, Philip, James, Elizabeth, Nancy and Ann.  He was the second youngest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 62 on June 3rd, 1886 in Warren Co., Iowa.  He was buried in Norwalk, Warren Co., Iowa.^1 1
