Minnie Louis was born on February 3rd, 1902 in Lexington, Lee Co., TX.1 Minnie Louis' father was Salathiel S. Bownds and her mother was Anna Lou Spradley. Her maternal grandparents were Bryant Eugene Spradley and Emmaline Todd. She had four brothers and three sisters, named William Bryant, Lee Roy, Claude Wesley, Luther Salathel, Emma Lee, India Lucile and Unknow. She died at the age of 76 in August 1978 in Lee Co., TX. After graduating from Liberty High School, Minnie attend Huntsville
Normal and became a teacher. After teaching for a few years she had a
school near the Knobs wher a boy did not like to be told what to do and
his mother would not let her control him. She came to school one day and
beat Minnie up. When she got over that she returned and resigned and quit
teaching. They had 7 Children.
