John de Clare 
John was born in 1170 in Clare, Suffolk, England. John's father was Roger de Clare the Good Earl of Hertford and his mother was Maud de St. Hilary. He had four brothers and two sisters, named James, Roger, Henry, Sir Richard FitzRoger de, Mabel and Aveline. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named William de Albini V, Cecily and Agnes (Avice).
