Berengaria de LeUn was born in 1193 in LeUn, Spain.  Berengaria de LeUn's father was Alphonso IX the Slobberer de LeUn King of LeUn and her mother was Berengaria Alfonsez Queen of Castile.  Her paternal grandparents were Ferdinand II de LeUn King of LeUn and Urraca Alfonsez de Portugal Cts de Portugal; her maternal grandparents were Alfonso VIII de Castile King of Castile and Eleanor Plantagenet. She had two brothers and two sisters, named St. Ferdinand III, Alfonse de Molina, Constanza de Castile and Leonor de Castile. She had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named Fernando, Urraca Alfonsez, Aldonca Alfonsez, Sancha de Castile and Dulce.  She died at the age of 44 on April 12th, 1237.


Berengaria de LeUn's family with John I de Brienne King of Jerusalem

‌Berengaria de LeUn and John I de Brienne were married in a religious ceremony in 1224 in Toledo.  They had three sons named Jean de Brienne II, Louis d' Acre de Brienne and Alphonse de Brienne.
