Phebe Mathewson 
Phebe was born on December 26th, 1732 in Scituate or Johnston, Providence Co., RI. Phebe's father was John Mathewson and her mother was Phoebe Steere. Her paternal grandparents were John Mathewson and Deliverance Malavery. She had a brother and two sisters, named Thomas, Mary and Elizabeth. She was the oldest of the four children.-
