Alice was born about 1350 in Arundel, Essex, England. Alice's father was Richard II "Copped Hat" FitzAlan , Earl Arundel and her mother was Eleanor Plantagenet. Her paternal grandparents were Edmund FitzAlan , 9th Earl of Arundel and Alice de Warenne; her maternal grandparents were Henry Plantagenet , 3rd Earl of Lancaster, MP and Maud de Chaworth. She had two brothers and a sister, named Richard III, John and Joan. She was the youngest of the four children. She had two half-brothers named Edmund and Henry 3rd Baron de.General Notes
