Eleanor of was born in 1217 in Aix-en-Provence, Bouches-du-Rhone, France.  Eleanor of's father was Raymond V Berenger Count of Provence and her mother was Beatrice of Savoy.  Her paternal grandparents were Alfonso Alfonsez Prince Aragon Count of Provence and Gersenda de Sabran; her maternal grandparents were Thomas (Tomaso) I Count of Savoy and Margaret (Beatrice) of Geneva. She had three sisters named Margaret of, Sancha Berenger of and Beatrix de.  She was the oldest of the four children.  She died at the age of 74 on June 25th, 1291 in Amesbury, Wiltshire, England.

‌Eleanor of and Henry III Plantagenet King of were married in a religious ceremony in Cathedral, Canterbury, Kent, England.  They had two sons and two daughters, named Edward I Plantagenet "Longshanks" King O, Edmund "Crouchback", Margaret Princess of and Beatrice.
