Isabella was born about 1212 in Thetford, Norfolk, England.  Isabella's father was Hugh Bigod , 3rd Earl of Norfolk, MCS and her mother was Maud Marshal.  Her paternal grandparents were Roger Bigod , 2nd Earl of Norfolk, MCS and Ida de Toeni; her maternal grandparents were William Marshal , 3rd Earl of Pembroke and Isabel de Clare , Countess of Pembroke. She had four brothers named Roger, Hugh, Ralph le and Simon le.  She was the second oldest of the five children. She had a half-brother named John de.  She died in 1252.

‌Isabella and Gilbert de were married in a religious ceremony before 1229 in Norfolk, England.  They had two daughters named Margaret de and Maud (Matilda) de.


Isabella's second family with John FitzGeoffrey , Justiciar of Ireland, Sir

‌Isabella and John were married in a religious ceremony after 1230 in 2nd husband.  They had four daughters named Avelina, Maud, Isabel and Joan.
