Aelis was born in 1026. Aelis' father was Renaud DE SOISSONS. Her paternal grandparents were Count Norcher II OF BAR-SUR-AUBE and Aelis OF SOISSONS. She was an only child. Aelis is no longer alive.General Notes
Credited with the first unification of the country, convertedthe Danes to Christianity, and conquered Norway. After hisBaptism his fathers pagan tomb was transformed into a Christianplace of worship.
Introduced Christianity into Denmark, he had the famous Jellingrune stone erected in his parent memory. He was fatally woundedduring a rebellion by his son and successor, Sveng I.
