Isabel was born in 1081 in Vermandoi.  Isabel's father was Hugh "Magnus" Capet , Duke of France and her mother was Adelaide de Vermandois.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry I Capet , King of France and Anna Yaroslavna , Grand Dutchess of Keiv; her maternal grandparents were Herbert IV, Count of Vermondois and Adela de Vexin. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Raul, Henry, Charles, Guilaume, Matilde, Beatrice, Constance and Agnes.  She was the second oldest of the nine children.  She died before 1147 in St. Nicaise, Meulan, France.  She was buried in Lewes, Sussex, Eng.


Isabel's first family with Robert Robert , 1st Earl of Leicester/, Earl of Leicester/de Beaumont

‌Isabel and Robert were married in a religious ceremony in 1096.  They had three sons and six daughters, named Waleran, Robert, Hugh, Elizabeth (Isabel), Aubreye, Adeline Newburgh, Havoise, Amicade and Maud Alberade.

They had two sons and two daughters, named William, Reginald, Gundred and Ada.
