Joan De was born about 1287 in Of, Thunnock, Lancashire, England.  Joan De's father was Richard PLANTAGENET EARL OF CORNWALL and her mother was Joan FITZALAN Countess St Owen.  Her paternal grandparents were Richard Of ENGLAND King of the Romans and Joan de VALLETORT mistress; her maternal grandparents were John FITZALAN and Isabella De MORTIMER. She had four brothers and a sister, named Edmund (Bryan) De, Richard De John, Geoffrey De, William De and Lamellen.  She was the second youngest of the six children.  She died in 1341.  She was buried in Howard Chapel, East Winch, Norfolk, England.
