Isabel De was born about 1170 in Of, Oakham, Rutlandshire, England and her baptism took place in Of Castle, Tutbury, Staffordshire, England.  Isabel De's father was William de FERRERS 3rd Earl of Derby and her mother was Sybil de BRAOSE.  Her paternal grandparents were Robert de FERRERS EARL OF DERBY and Margaret PEVERELl; her maternal grandparents were William de BRAOSE, 1st Baron of Abergavenny SHERIFF OF HEREFORD and Bertha De GLOUCESTER. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Son De, Son De, William de, Robert, Agatha De, Elizabeth De, Millicent De and Petronille De.  She was the oldest of the nine children. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Hugh De, Robert de, Ermintrude and Margery.  She died before May 31st, 1252.  She was buried in St John Hsptl Ch, Lechlade, Gloucestershire, England.
