Roger de was born about 1165 in Of, Wigmore, Herefordshire, England.  Roger de's father was Hugh de MORTIMER Lord of Wigmore and his mother was Maud (Matilda) De MESCHINES.  His paternal grandparents were Ralph de MORTIMER Lord of Wigmore and Milisent FERRERS; his maternal grandparents were William De MESCHINES and Cecily De RUMILLY Lady of Skipton/Lady of Skipton. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Robert De and Alice (Adelicia, Adeleza) De.  He died on June 24th, 1214 in Wigmore, Hereford, England.  He was buried in Wigmore, Herefordshire, England.

‌Roger de and Isabel De were married in a religious ceremony about 1190 in Of, Rutlandshire, England.  They had six sons and two daughters, named Ralph de, Ralph de, Hugh De, Roger, Robert De, Philip, Joan De and Sined.
