Humphrey VIII de was born about 1276 in Pleshey Castle, Essex, England.  Humphrey VIII de's father was Humphrey VII de Bohun , Earl Hereford & Essex and his mother was Maud de Fiennes.  His paternal grandparents were Humphrey VI de Bohun , Governor of Winchester and Eleanor de Braose; his maternal grandparents were Enguerrand de Fiennes , Seigneur de Fienes and Maud de Hampden.  He was an only child.  He died in Battle of Boroughbridge, Yorkshire, England (slain).
