Samuel Claud. (Sam) was born on March 20th, 1852 in Gibson Co, TN. Samuel Claud. (Sam)'s father was Owen West and his mother was Jane Jennie McClure. His paternal grandparents were John William West and Elizabeth Frazier. He had six brothers and a sister, named James McDaniel (Mack), John H. (Jack), William Willey (Wile), Elijah A. (Lige), Elisha (Lish), Ephriam Miles (Eph) and Etna. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 91 on July 18th, 1943 in Conway Co, AR.-
