Lydia J. was born on March 23rd, 1884 in Conway Co, AR. Lydia J.'s father was William Willey (Wile) West and her mother was Rhoda Arena Carlock. Her paternal grandparents were Owen West and Jane Jennie McClure; her maternal grandparents were William H. Carlock and Mary Ann Unknown. She had six brothers and six sisters, named Noel E., William Albert, John B., Arthur D., Floyd, Lloyd D., Arizona Belle, Media Lavonia, Celia Cefronia, Iva Elvia, Vada and Fathia Arena. She was the sixth oldest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 88 on March 22nd, 1973.-
