John Maris

John was born on January 15th, 1710 in Springfield, Chester Co, PA. John's father was John Maris and his mother was Susanna Lewis. His paternal grandparents were George Maris and Alice Unknown; his maternal grandparents were James Lewis and Sibles Griffith. He had two brothers and eight sisters, named George, James, Sarah, Alice, Mary, Hannah, Susanna, Jane, Katharine and Elizabeth. He was the third youngest of the eleven children.
