Matilda (Maud) was born in 1142 in Huntingdon, Northumberland, Eng.  Matilda (Maud)'s father was Henry Huntington and her mother was Ada de Warren.  Her paternal grandparents were King David (The Saint) of Scotland and Queen Matilda (Maud) of Scotland. She had three brothers and three sisters, named King Malcolm  IV, King William  I (The Lion), David, Isabella, Countess Margaret and Ada.  She was the third youngest of the seven children.
