David was born in 1144 in Huntingdon, Northumberland, Eng.  David's father was Henry Huntington and his mother was Ada de Warren.  His paternal grandparents were King David (The Saint) of Scotland and Queen Matilda (Maud) of Scotland. He had two brothers and four sisters, named King Malcolm  IV, King William  I (The Lion), Isabella, Countess Margaret, Ada and Matilda (Maud).  He was the youngest of the seven children.
