Henry was born in 1114 in Huntington, Northumberland, Eng.  Henry's father was King David (The Saint) of Scotland and his mother was Queen Matilda (Maud) of Scotland.  His paternal grandparents were King Malcolm  III (Ceannmor) of Scotland and Living Atheling.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 38 on June 12th, 1152.

They had three sons and four daughters, named King Malcolm  IV, King William  I (The Lion), David, Isabella, Countess Margaret, Ada and Matilda (Maud).
