King David (The Saint) was born in 1081 in Scotland.  King David (The Saint)'s father was King Malcolm  III (Ceannmor) of Scotland and his mother was Living Atheling.  His paternal grandparents were King Duncan  I of Scotland and Queen Aelflaed Sybilla of Northumbria. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Prince Edward, Prince Edmund, Prince Ethelred, King Edgar, King Alexander (The Fierce), Queen Matilda and Princess Mary.  He was the second youngest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 72 on May 24th, 1153.
