John Austin Ryals 
John Austin was born in 1859 in Al. John Austin's father was Lovett Ryals and his mother was Mary Stower. His paternal grandfather was Richardson Ryals; his maternal grandfather was Jackson Stowers. He had four brothers and two sisters, named William H, Richard Bryant, Lovett, Coat, Edy E and Mary H. He was the second youngest of the seven children.
