Mary Jane Hopwood

Mary Jane was born on July 1st, 1859 in Al and her baptism took place on September 24th, 1859 in Piney Grove Baptist.  Mary Jane's father was Doctor Green Hopwood and her mother was Sophronia J. McIntosh.  Her paternal grandparents were John Hopwood and Francis Patterson; her maternal grandparents were Kenneth McIntosh and Matilda McClure. She had two brothers and five sisters, named John Kenneth, Daniel Thomas, Frances M, Melissa Anne, Ella Mae S, Margaret Candis and Nancy.  She was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  She died  due to old timey consumption at the age of 64 on March 23rd, 1924 in Limestone Co., al.  She was buried in Gatlin Cemetery, Limestone Co., al.

‌Mary Jane and Robert David were married in a religious ceremony on December 27th, 1877.
