John S. Bowden 
John S. was born in 1875 in Pope County, AR.1 John S.'s father was Charles Layfette Bowden. His paternal grandfather was John S. Bowden. He had nine brothers and two sisters, named George Allen, Virgil R., Bill, Clifford H., Emory, Raymond, Frank Olen, Otis, Son, Ardena Elizabeth and Minnie May. He was the third oldest of the twelve children. John S. is no longer alive.1
