George Allen Bowden 
George Allen was born on February 16th, 1876 in Pope County, AR.1 George Allen's father was Charles Layfette Bowden. His paternal grandfather was John S. Bowden. He had nine brothers and two sisters, named John S., Virgil R., Bill, Clifford H., Emory, Raymond, Frank Olen, Otis, Son, Ardena Elizabeth and Minnie May. He was the fourth oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 88 on August 11th, 1964.1
