Isabel was born in 1312 in Gloucestershire,England. Isabel's father was Hugh De Spencer and her mother was Alianore De Clare. Her paternal grandparents were Hugh De Spencer and Isabel De Beauchamp; her maternal grandparents were Earl Gilbert De Clare Of Gloucester and Princess Joanna Plantagenet Of England. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Philip, Hugh, Edward, Gilbert, Margaret, Joan and Elizabeth. She was the fourth youngest of the eight children.General Notes
