Fredisinde, known as Frasenda, was born in 1005 in Normandy,France.  Frasenda's father was Duke Richard II (The Good) De Normandy and her mother was Judith Berengar Of Brittany.  Her paternal grandparents were Duke Richard I (Sans Peur - The Fearless) De Normandy and Princess Gunnora Haraldsdoittir Of Denmark; her maternal grandparents were Duke Conan I (The Crooked) Berengar Of Brittany, Count Of Rennes and Ermengarde De Anjou. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Curthose, William-Nicholas, The Young, The Devil, Margaret, Judith Adelaide and Emme.  She was the fourth oldest of the eight children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named William, Mauger and Papia.  She died at the age of 52 in 1057.
