William Bowie 
William was born in 1721 in "Brooke Ridge" near Nottingham, MD.1 William's father was John Bowie and his mother was Mary Mullikin. His paternal grandparents were Jonathan Bowy and Jane Smith; his maternal grandparents were James Mulligan and Jane Prather. He had four brothers and two sisters, named John, James, Allen, Thomas, Eleanor and Mary. He was the second youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 70 in 1791.1 General Notes
