James Bowie 
James was born in 1714 in MD.1 James' father was John Bowie and his mother was Mary Mullikin. His paternal grandparents were Jonathan Bowy and Jane Smith; his maternal grandparents were James Mulligan and Jane Prather. He had four brothers and two sisters, named John, Allen, Thomas, William, Eleanor and Mary. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 30 in September 1744 in MD, "First Bowie Will recorded in MD".1 General Notes
