Thomas Yoakley

Thomas was born in 1820 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.¹   Thomas' father was Peter Yoakley and his mother was Rachel Canole.  His paternal grandfather was John Yoakley. He had four brothers and five sisters, named John, Charles, Ednemon, Peter, Permelia, Elizabeth, Mary Ann, Nancy Ann and Rachel.  He was the fifth youngest of the ten children.
