Permelia Yoakley

Permelia was born in 1809 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.¹   Permelia's father was Peter Yoakley and her mother was Rachel Canole.  Her paternal grandfather was John Yoakley. She had five brothers and four sisters, named John, Charles, Thomas, Ednemon, Peter, Elizabeth, Mary Ann, Nancy Ann and Rachel.  She was the oldest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 83 in 1892.¹
