Cary Whitaker 
Cary was born on November 14th, 1782 in ,,NC.1 Cary's father was John Whitaker and his mother was Christian Benton. His paternal grandparents were Richard Whitaker and Elizabeth Cary; his maternal grandfather was Absalom Benton. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Eli Benton, James, Richard, John, Absalom Benton, Wilson Cary, Elizabeth, Martha and Margaret Green. He was the fifth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 75 on June 12th, 1858.1 -
