Martha Jane Spears 
Martha Jane was born on September 25th, 1842 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.1 Martha Jane's father was Lazarus Spears and her mother was Elizabeth Mary Amis. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Spears and Sarah Spears; her maternal grandparents were Haynes Amis and Mary Howell. She had a brother and five sisters, named Samuel, Sarah Elizabeth, Nancy Amanda, Lucy Alice, Mary Frances and Matilda Ann. She was the third youngest of the seven children. She had five half-brothers named Drury Alsobrook, John, Christopher Haynes, Kendrick Alsobrook and Jesse. She died at the age of 73 on February 19th, 1916.1 -
