Parris Smith

Parris was born in 1849 in Washington County, Virginia.¹   Parris' father was Isaac Smith and his mother was Sarah.  His paternal grandparents were Ephraim Smith and Alice Baker. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Edward, Baker, Alfred, Robert, George, Martha, Harriet and Nancy.  He was the third youngest of the nine children. He had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Smith, Isaac, Catherine, Alice, Minerva and Elizabeth.
