Minerva Smith

Minerva was born about 1825 in Washington County, Virginia.¹ Minerva's father was Isaac Smith and her mother was Matilda Elliott. Her paternal grandparents were Ephraim Smith and Alice Baker. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Smith, Isaac, Catherine, Alice and Elizabeth. She was the third youngest of the six children. She had six half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Edward, Baker, Alfred, Robert, Parris, George, Martha, Harriet and Nancy.
