Thomas Simmons

Thomas was born about 1799 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   Thomas' father was James Simmons and his mother was Elizabeth Gillenwaters.  His maternal grandparents were Thomas Gillenwater and Martha. He had two brothers and five sisters, named John, James G., Mary Or Polly, Nancy, Elizabeth, Frances and Rachel.  He was the fourth youngest of the eight children.  He died before 1847 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹
