Samuel Augustus Shipley 
Samuel Augustus was born in 1859 in Tennessee.1 Samuel Augustus' father was John Childers Shipley and his mother was Nancy Martitia Green. His paternal grandparents were Caleb Shipley and Elizabeth Galloway. He had three brothers and four sisters, named John James, William Rufus, David Godsey, Sarah, Mary, Nancy Jane and Ida Almira. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 74 in 1933.1
