Mary Shipley 
Mary was born in 1861 in Tennessee.1 Mary's father was John Childers Shipley and her mother was Nancy Martitia Green. Her paternal grandparents were Caleb Shipley and Elizabeth Galloway. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Samuel Augustus, John James, William Rufus, David Godsey, Sarah, Nancy Jane and Ida Almira. She was the third oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 76 in 1937.1
