John James Shipley 
John James was born in 1864 in Tennessee.1 John James' father was John Childers Shipley and his mother was Nancy Martitia Green. His paternal grandparents were Caleb Shipley and Elizabeth Galloway. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Samuel Augustus, William Rufus, David Godsey, Sarah, Mary, Nancy Jane and Ida Almira. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 26 in 1890.1
