Ida Almira Shipley 
Ida Almira was born in 1874 in Scott County, Virginia.1 Ida Almira's father was John Childers Shipley and her mother was Nancy Martitia Green. Her paternal grandparents were Caleb Shipley and Elizabeth Galloway. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Samuel Augustus, John James, William Rufus, David Godsey, Sarah, Mary and Nancy Jane. She was the youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 82 in 1956.1
