Mary Shipley 
Mary was born in 1828 in Tennessee.1 Mary's father was Joshua Shipley and her mother was Mary Strickler. Her paternal grandparents were Eli Shipley and Elizabeth Kingston; her maternal grandparents were Samuel Strickler and Christina Burner. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Benjamin, Reuben, Frederick B., Joshua, Rachel, Salina, Nancy Winifred and Christena E.. She was the third youngest of the nine children.-
