Francis M. was born on November 29th, 1869 in ,Wayne, Illinois.1 Francis M.'s father was Benjamin Franklin Shehorn and his mother was Angeline Leister. His paternal grandparents were George Daniel Shehorn and Emily Harrison James; his maternal grandparents were John Leister and Anna J. Rush. He had six brothers and eight sisters, named Andrew Jackson, George W., Thomas Jefferson, Charles F., James R., Benjamin Arthur, Emily Jane, Marinda A., Mary Ann, Elizabeth Frances, Amanda Matilda, Lillie, Millie and Melinda Agnes. He was the sixth oldest of the fifteen children. He died at the age of 1 on August 8th, 1871 in ,Wayne, Illinois. He was buried in Bailey Cemetary, Wayne, Illinois.1 1 -
