Reuben Scism

Reuben was born in 1855 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   Reuben's father was James M. Scism and his mother was Anna Skelton.  His paternal grandparents were William Scism and Elizabeth Duncan; his maternal grandfather was Reuben Skelton. He had two brothers and four sisters, named John, James M., Sarah, Mary, Nancy and Elizabeth.  He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.
