Mary Scalf

Mary was born in 1788 in ,,North Carolina.¹   Mary's father was John Scalf and her mother was Edead Edeah Carlisle.  Her paternal grandfather was Lewis Scalf. She had ten brothers and five sisters, named John, William, Britton, William, Berryman, Ira, Lee, Jesse, Peter, Robert, Nancy, Dicey, Lydia, Elizabeth and Cecelia.  She was the oldest of the sixteen children.
